C program to display ASCII value of a character

 C program to display ASCII value of a character

        In this example we will learn how to display the ASCII value of any character entered by the user through keyboard. To solve this program we must have knowledge about ASCII.

PROGRAM

#include<stdio.h>
int main()
{
    char c;
    printf("Enter a character : ");
    scanf("%c",&c);
    printf("ASCII value of %c =%d",c,c);
    return 0;
}

OUTPUT:

ASCII:

        ASCII Stands for American Standard Code for Information Interchange. It is widely used in computers of all types. It is used to create a standard for character-sets used in electronic components. ASCII codes are of two types - ASCII-7 and ASCII-8.

  • ASCII-7: It is a 7 bit standard ASCII code. In ASCII-7 the first 3 bits are zone bits and the next 4 bits are for the digits. ASCII-7 represents 128 unique symbols.

  • ASCII-8: It is an extended version of ASCII-7. ASCII-8 is an 8 bit code having 4 bits for zone and 4 bits for the digits. It represents 256 unique symbols.

  • Codes 0-31 represents character that cannot be printed like, Carriage return(CR), Control(Ctrl),etc.
  • Codes 48 -57 stands for numeric 0-9.
  • Codes 65-90 stands for uppercase letters A-Z.
  • Codes 97-122 stands for lowercase letters a-z.
  • Codes 128-255 stands for the extended ASCII codes.

C Program to Check Even or Odd Without Modulous and Bitwise Operator

  C Program to Check Even or Odd Without Modulous and Bitwise Operator                   In this example we will check even or odd without Modulous Operator. To do this program we should know what is even and odd number.                   Even Number: Even numbers are those numbers which are divisible by 2. That means if we divide a number by 2 and if its remainder appears 0 then it is an even number.                                 For Example: 2,4,6,8,10,12,.... are all even numbers.                              ...

C program to reverse a number entered by the user

 C program to reverse a number entered by the user     In this example, we will display the reverse of a number entered by the user. Here, in the output we have entered a number 472 whose reverse will be displayed in the screen. C PROGRAM TO REVERSE A NUMBER ENTERED BY THE USER: #include <stdio.h> #include <conio.h> void  main() {      int  x,y=0,r;     printf( "Enter a number : " );     scanf( "%d" ,&x);      while (x!=0)     {         r=x%10;         y=y*10+r;         x=x/10;     }     printf( "Reverse is : %d" ,y);     getch(); } OUTPUT TO REVERSE A NUMBER ENTERED BY THE USER:      Enter a number: 472      Revers...

C program to display the upper triangle and lower triangle of the given square Matrix using function

 C program to display the upper triangle and lower triangle of the given square Matrix using function     In this example, we will display the upper triangle and lower triangle of a given square matrix using function. Here in the output section we have taken a 3x3 matrix whose values are entered as shown in the output. After entering the elements of the square matrix it will display the upper triangle and lower triangle of the matrix entered. PROGRAM TO DISPLAY THE UPPER TRIANGLE AND LOWER TRIANGLE OF THE GIVEN SQUARE MATRIX USING FUNCTION #include <stdio.h> #include <conio.h> void  uppert( int , int , int  [100][100]); void  lowert( int , int , int  [100][100]); void  main() {      int  i,j,c,d,a[100][100];     printf( "Enter the size of the given square matrix : " );     scanf( "%d" ,&c);     d=c; ...

C Program to input Values in a 2x2 square matrix and display the value

 C Program to input Values in a 2x2 square matrix and display the value     In this example, we will accept values from the user in a 2x2 square and matrix and then it is displayed. To solve this problem we must know what is matrices and arrays. What are Arrays?      An array is a data structure for storing more than one data member of similar data type.          Array can be of following types: One-dimensional Array Two-dimensional Array Multi-dimensional Array             In Array we must always initialize values. PROGRAM #include <stdio.h> #include <conio.h> int   main () {      int   a [ 2 ][ 2 ], i , j ;      printf ( "Enter the values of the matrix:" );      for ( i = 0 ; i < 2 ; i ++)     {          for ( j = 0 ; j < 2 ...

C Program to print the first N even numbers in reverse order.

 C Program to print the first N even numbers in reverse order.      In this example, we will print the first N even numbers in reverse order. Here N is the total number of even numbers you want to print. PROGRAM TO PRINT THE FIRST N EVEN NUMBERS IN REVERSE ORDER: #include <stdio.h> #include <conio.h> int   main () {      int   even , n , i ;      printf ( "Enter the value of N : " );      scanf ( " %d " ,& n );      printf ( "Printing first  %d  even numbers in reverse order : " , n );      for ( i = n * 2 ; i > 2 ; i --)     {          if ( i % 2 == 0 )         {              printf ( " %d \t " , i );  ...
