C program to display ASCII value of a character
In this example we will learn how to display the ASCII value of any character entered by the user through keyboard. To solve this program we must have knowledge about ASCII.

ASCII:
ASCII Stands for American Standard Code for Information Interchange. It is widely used in computers of all types. It is used to create a standard for character-sets used in electronic components. ASCII codes are of two types - ASCII-7 and ASCII-8.
- ASCII-7: It is a 7 bit standard ASCII code. In ASCII-7 the first 3 bits are zone bits and the next 4 bits are for the digits. ASCII-7 represents 128 unique symbols.
- ASCII-8: It is an extended version of ASCII-7. ASCII-8 is an 8 bit code having 4 bits for zone and 4 bits for the digits. It represents 256 unique symbols.
- Codes 0-31 represents character that cannot be printed like, Carriage return(CR), Control(Ctrl),etc.
- Codes 48 -57 stands for numeric 0-9.
- Codes 65-90 stands for uppercase letters A-Z.
- Codes 97-122 stands for lowercase letters a-z.
- Codes 128-255 stands for the extended ASCII codes.
